Today is World Mental Health Day and sometimes a little small talk can make a big difference.
*Sensitive subject matter below*

Small Talk Saves Lives is a joint partnership between Network Rail, Samaritans, the British Transport Police and the wider rail industry – with the shared goal of reducing the number of suicides on the rail network.

Small Talk Saves Lives was developed after research showed the key role passengers can play in suicide prevention.
For every life lost on the railway, six are saved by those around them.

A simple question or observation can be all it takes to interrupt potentially harmful thoughts and start the journey to recovery.

Those little conversations you have each day are all the experience you need to help save a life, whoever you are, wherever you are.
