This policy explains how OSL Global Limited collects, uses and protects personal data when you use this website, contact us, apply for a role or work with us. We only collect the personal data we need for the reason we are collecting it, and we do not sell personal data.

What we collect and why

Enquiries. When you use the contact form, email us or call, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, company and your message. We use this to respond to you and, where it leads to work, to manage that relationship. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or the contract with you or your organisation.

Job applications. When you apply through the careers form we collect your name, contact details, the role you are applying for, your CV and covering note. We use this to consider your application. Our lawful basis is taking steps before entering into a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in recruiting.

Clients, suppliers and partners. We hold contact and business details for the people we work with, to deliver projects, manage contracts and payments, and meet our legal, regulatory and insurance obligations.

Website use. Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working. We may use privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies or identify individuals.

Spam protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated bots. Turnstile checks your browser and connection for this purpose only.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies for tracking or advertising. Any cookie that may be set is strictly necessary for security, such as those used by our spam protection, and does not identify you. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only where necessary with:

  • Our website hosting, email and IT providers, who process data on our instructions. Form submissions are delivered to us by email.
  • Clients, suppliers, contractors and project partners where needed to deliver a project.
  • Recruitment referees where relevant to an application.
  • Professional advisers, insurers, regulators and authorities where required by law.

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or approved contract terms.

How long we keep data

  • Enquiries: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless the enquiry becomes a client or supplier relationship.
  • Client, supplier and project records: usually up to 7 years after the end of the contract or project, or longer where the law, a regulator, our insurers or a contract requires it.
  • Job applications: up to 6 months after the recruitment process ends, unless you ask us to keep your details for future opportunities.
  • Technical website logs: retained by our hosting provider for a short period for security purposes.

How we protect data

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, secure systems, supplier due diligence and staff awareness. OSL Global holds Cyber Essentials certification.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete your data, or restrict how we use it.
  • Stop processing your data where we rely on legitimate interests.
  • Provide your data to you or another organisation in a usable format.
  • Withdraw consent, where we rely on it.

To exercise any of these rights, email enquiries@oslglobal.com. We will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
