MIRSE Membership Achievement

We are pleased to congratulate Chris Elson, whose application for Member grade with the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers has been accepted.

Chris can now officially use the post-nominal MIRSE, recognising his professional competence, industry experience and commitment to the railway signalling profession.

Achieving Member grade is an important professional milestone and reflects the knowledge and experience Chris has developed throughout his career.

The photograph accompanying this update was taken at Goonbarrow Signal Box, where Chris was explaining the principles of mechanical and electrical locking to Harry, Oliver and Katie.

Supporting the development of others and passing on practical signalling knowledge are important parts of maintaining skills and competence across the rail industry, making the setting particularly fitting for this achievement.

Congratulations to Chris on a well-deserved milestone.
