Cyber Essentials Certification

OSL Global has successfully renewed our Cyber Essentials certification, reaffirming our ongoing commitment to cyber security across all areas of our business.

In today’s engineering and infrastructure landscape, cyber security is a fundamental part of safe, resilient and dependable project delivery. This is particularly true within rail and safety-critical environments, where secure data handling, system integrity and controlled access to information are essential to maintaining operational assurance.

Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed scheme that sets out a clear baseline of technical controls designed to protect organisations against the most common cyber threats. Renewal of this certification confirms that OSL continues to have appropriate safeguards in place across key areas, including secure system configuration, access control, malware protection and patch management.

For our clients and delivery partners, this provides assurance that information shared with OSL is handled within a controlled and secure environment. From design data and project documentation through to digital collaboration and reporting, cyber resilience underpins our ability to work efficiently and responsibly across complex, multi-disciplinary programmes.

Cyber security also supports the wider reliability of modern engineering delivery. As rail and infrastructure systems become increasingly data-driven, interconnected and digitally enabled, the consequences of cyber incidents extend beyond business disruption. They can impact safety, programme certainty and long-term asset performance. Maintaining strong cyber hygiene is therefore a core part of managing project risk.

This recertification sits alongside OSL’s broader commitment to safety, quality and dependable delivery. Just as we apply rigorous governance to engineering assurance, competence management and health and safety, we apply the same discipline to protecting our digital systems and information assets.

Renewal of Cyber Essentials is not treated as a one-off exercise. It forms part of our ongoing approach to continuous improvement, ensuring our controls remain effective, proportionate and aligned with evolving threats and industry expectations.

We will continue to review and strengthen our systems to support secure collaboration with clients, suppliers and partners and to enable the safe delivery of engineering solutions across rail and wider infrastructure sectors.
